Rules & Points

  1. All participants need to know and abide by PNER, ride sanctioning organization(s)and individual riderules.  For ride sanctioning purposes, PNER currently recognizes American Endurance Ride Conference (AERC), Equine Distance Riding Association (EDRA), Equestrian Canada (EC) and/or Endurance Riders Association of British Columbia (ERABC) events of 20 or more miles.
  2. Only rides within the PNER region count toward PNER awards.
  3. Awards and calculation processes are based on PNER Board of Directors decisions. (See the tables below on how Points are calculated for Junior and Senior riders.)
  4. Points are accumulated by horse and rider teams throughout the ride year.  One rider may appear in the standings more than once if riding multiple horses. Likewise, one horse may appear more than once in the standings if ridden by multiple riders.
  5. All ride results reported to the PNER Points Secretary are final 30 days from the date of publication in the newsletter. Accuracy of the results is the responsibility of the rider and/or ride manager. Any corrections to the results must be authorized by the ride manager.
